Face your shadow and
intentionally step back into the daylight
Why this work exists
I’ve spent years sitting with leaders in moments they don’t usually talk about publicly. Missed conversations. Avoided decisions. Teams that feel disconnected. Leaders carrying more than they admit.
What I’ve learned is simple, and uncomfortable:
Most leadership breakdowns aren’t caused by a lack of skill. They’re caused by unowned pressure, fear, or story.
When leaders don’t name what’s happening internally, it shows up externally. Communication gets fuzzy. Trust erodes. People feel it, even if they can’t explain it.
The Upside Down Leader was born out of those moments and my own. It’s a framework for noticing when you’re upside down, owning the shadow that comes with leadership, and finding your way back into the Daylight.
You can explore that work through The Upside Down Leader resources, invite me into your organization, or simply start by paying closer attention to where you might be upside down right now.
